"Smoke and Baloney" focuses on the director's quest to find out what killed her father. He was diagnosed with cancer and passed away in the prime of his life, and then two of his brothers suffered a similar fate. It turned out they grew up merely 200 meters away from one of the largest toxic waste sites in Canada - the notorious Sydney Tar Ponds. This film follows the director's search for answers against the backdrop of an environmental disaster.
