When Nelson, a young insular boy strikes up an online conversation with Sam, a young girl who messages him whilst playing computer games, an online infatuation begins. In a world where Nelson is failing at social interaction and academically, she is his salvation. As the frequency and emotional intensity of their messages escalate, Nelson becomes further isolated at home and school and falls deeper under the control of Sam.
