
Adam's Passion
A disused submarine factory became the venue for the world premiere of the performance Adam's Passion, a stage version of music by 2023 Polar Prize winner Arvo PÀrt. The performance was recorded in connection with PÀrt's 80th birthday in 2015 and was directed by none other than the legendary director and artist Robert Wilson. Musically, Adam's Passion consists of four of PÀrt's works; Adam's Lament, Tabula Rasa, Miserere and Sequentia. The conductor is PÀrt's world-famous compatriot TÔnu Kaljuste, and over a hundred artists are on stage.
