Meet My Mother
Denise brings her latest boyfriend home to a "family dinner" where her boyfriend, Chris, will be able to meet her mother. To his surprise and even hers, dinner with mom includes all the baggage of dealing with the entire family and then some. Sitting at the table, pretending to carry a smooth dinner with small talk, we can find Denise mom (Adriana), her sister (Kaylee), her clueless brother (Tony), her paternal grandfather (Papa) and of course the family add-on like Adriana's boyfriend (Uncle Joe) and Adriana's pupil (Jamie), who is madly in love with Denise in the creepiest way possible. In another odd hand, Jamie does have a fan, Kaylee, who has the hots for him and can't hide it during dinner; and Adriana who acts like if she wishes she was younger so she could date Jamie. The Italian family sits down to eat and a just 3 minutes later an unwanted guest (Denise's father shows up and has the nerve to bring a friend so they can both have dinner too). Frankie, Denise's father shows up making everyone but his kids uncomfortable with his presence, bringing his sidekick (Saul) to back him up on every stupid statement he makes during dinner. Denise, excited that her father and mother are now at the table gets ready to break some amazing news "She is pregnant" with the family, a dysfunctional family that takes the news as an excuse to visit old problems and finish dinner with a fight. Chris also runs away and shows his true colors to Denise right after she breaks the news to him, but as an irresponsible guy, he blames him running out on Denise's crazy family and hopes to see her soon, another time. It only takes 10 minutes for the ball to drop and all these people (especially the older folks) are now worked up. Denise realizes then that her family is nuts and that she will never have a normal relationship if she continues bringing them home.
