Working Together for Health
In 2006, World Health Day was devoted to acknowledging the healthcare workforce around the globe. Plagued by several crisis, often forgotten and seldom recognised, their good work goes largely unpraised. The South African Department of Health honours the passion and steadfast dedication of all healthcare workers; from doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physicians, community health workers, technicians to practitioners of alternative and traditional medicine as they keep "Working Together for Health".
