Mixin It Up

2016

MIXIN IT UP is an American Cocktail reality television series hosted by Drink Mixologist, and Cocktail Parlor owner, Jeret Pena. Jaret travels around North America visiting various Cocktail Parlors, Restaurants, Bars, and dive bars in search of the prefect Cocktail. Jeret Pena, owner of San Antonio's "The Brooklynite", "Last Word", "Rumble" and "Stay Golden Social house", has become a local legend for his contributions to the San Antonio cocktail scene, and continues to grow a cult following here and across the nation. Each episode has a unifying theme (such as whiskey or rum). With Jeret visiting multiple Cocktail Parlors to sample the drink creations that corresponds to this theme. The program focuses on small independent drinkeries featuring traditional American-style, sometimes foreign, cocktails, regional styles, or ethnic specialties. Most often, the Parlors that the show chooses use fresh ingredients, home-brew recipes, and prohibition era approaches to what is usually considered non-Commercial Cocktails. Jeret interacts with both the Patrons, to get their opinion on the drink creations, and with the Mixologists, who demonstrate how to prepare one or more of their Favorite Cocktails.
