The Lead Sled
Sixteen-year-old demolition derby driver, and reigning youth champion, Dom Fulk, enters his last year of competing in the youth class. With the help of his parents, both veteran derby contenders themselves, Dom strips, modifies and rebuilds an old station wagon, in hopes of repeatedly crashing it, and driving away a winner. While demolition derbys are a uniquely loud, reckless, and destructive part of Americana car culture, they are a contrast to the calm, sincere and dedicated family, raising two young boys to carry on a family tradition.
