Before the spring of 1994, Suzanne Wade lived an idyllic life with her husband Derick and daughter Rachel. Derick's sudden death brings turmoil and devastation to their lives. Suzanne isn't sure she and Rachel will ever recover from the trauma. Six-year-old Rachel becomes socially withdrawn and hostile, acting out and attracting attention in all the wrong ways. After Rachel goes missing, Suzanne must pursue an entity that few acknowledge and almost no one believes is real. With nowhere to turn and little support, Suzanne vows that she won't give up the search for her daughter.
