Skin
Is our personality a result of nature or the decisions that we make? In "Skin" a young man comes to terms with the violence inside of him. The film revolves around a monologue told by Alex, a young man standing at the crossroads of a future of violence, or one of self-acceptance. The monologue is intercut with visuals of Alex's mother and his monstrous Uncle. All of which culminate in a poetic exploration of the age old theme of nature verses nurture. Skin is a film for all of those who fear the demons within them, and for those who think they cannot be beautiful.
