Murad Chowdhury and his servant Khadem miss the train returning from hunting and take shelter in a farmer's house. Murad likes the farmer's granddaughter Kokila and marries her as her bridegroom dies by snakebite. But Murad's mother does not accept the marriage and wants them to leave the house. Kokila dies giving birth of a child and Murad taking her dead body leave the hospital. Khadem takes the responsibility of the child. The child grows at one corner of Murad's house. Rani meets Alam at the college who is fiance of Sultana, granddaughter of the house. Alam and Rani likes each other but when Rani learns about the marriage of Alam and Sultana, She refuses him. Meanwhile, Tara Chowdhury sends men to kill Rani but she is saved by a mad man who happens to be her father.
