Young Coleman Hayes lives in a quiet town, keeps to himself, and works hard for a living. He has a dream of having the perfect world and a rainbow all his own. Simple enough really, don't we all want that? The only problem is that in his attempts to create this perfect world and his wonderful rainbow...he only seems to slip deeper and deeper into darkness and further away from his dream.
