(She Sounds Like Spring) is about Ben, a mechanic at a car dealership in Johannesburg, and Linda, a beautiful, brainy redhead. Their paths cross one evening and he recognizes her as his boss' daughter, but she doesn't know who he is. They have an instant connection, and in an attempt to hide his identity, he tells her he's in a band. This innocent lie threatens to expose Ben when it turns out that they like each other more than anticipated, so he decides if he's to be good enough for her, he needs to live up to his life. He pursues the dream he'd neglected years ago and starts a band with two of his co-workers and his neighbor. They enter a Battle of the Bands competition but realize that a music career is rather daunting. And what will happen when Linda discovers Ben's true identity?
