Mikee Plastik: I Got a Gun (2013)

Mikee Plastik: I Got a Gun

2013
Music

"I Got A Gun" was shot as both a short film and a music video (to the Mikee Plastik/MEDIAWHORE song of the same title). A visual storyboard was scripted and shot for the song, approaching the piece as a story, not a band performance. The music of the track doubles for soundtrack, just as the plot is built off the song's lyrics, which is the only dialog in the entire piece, making the vocal elements double as a narration. The plot centers around a cult mega-ministry, a shunned member, the pastor leader, and other congregants. A member is shunned spiritually and socially pending payment of monetary "dues and fees". Everything that meant anything has abandoned him, his wife & home, his job, and now his "faith". He finds no solace, living isolated in an abandoned farm shack, he starts losing his mind (or is he?). When he fails to "right his wrongs" and return to the ministry, the pastor sends congregants to temp him back. When they fail to report back, the pastor makes a personal visit to the man at the desolate farm. Is this product of the ministry in danger or a danger? See what becomes!
