Nine year old Minah goes to live with her grandparents in the countryside after her mother remarries. Sungsim, an eccentric man in his forties, who lives next door, visits Minah everyday, which the grandparents gradually find suspicious. One day, when Minah doesn't come home from school, the grandparents believe Sungsim has kidnapped her. Convinced that Minah is in danger, the grandfather goes after Sungsim but discovers too late that his suspicions about his strange neighbor may have been unfounded.
