Nikita Dobrynin is kids' animator in the Moscow zoo. Together with dog Michael and phlegmatic monkey Jim he leads children's theatrical show, trying to convince the audience that the animals can talk. Nikita is hopelessly in love with his colleague Olga for a long time. Olga likes Nikita but to be with him she needs him to be famous and rich. Everything changes when Michael decides to help his friend and confronts Nikita with an ambitious television correspondent Vika.
