A Night at Malibuz chronicles a typical Saturday night at a dive Vancouver nightclub in the mid-1990's. Filmed in 2000 on 16mm film and completed in 2025, it's part dark comedy and part archaeology of an era. Watch as a cast of idiot customers faces off against the jaded bar stuff and sadistic bouncers. Featuring a surly spandex queen and her grease-ball boyfriend, a chatty compulsive gambler and a waitress-stalker, a cranky prostitute, her pimp and his dealer, shiny suits and the terrible women who love them. No one is innocent and no one is spared as the night careens towards its inevitable conclusion.
