Hot Set
Zack, still reeling over his breakup, seeks closure on his ex's music video set. He sneaks in with a plan to re-ignite the spark between them, with the help of his friend, Emilio. He wanders through the set, eventually spotting his ex, Olivia, rehearsing her dance for the upcoming scene. We see a flashback where Zack remembers how good life was when he could watch her rehearse and embrace her after; they feed each other their favorite candy, jellybeans. His reminiscing is interrupted by Kate, an innocent newbie who's trying out background acting for the first time. This interaction is spotted by the Director, who recognizes that Zack isn't a part of this set and kicks him out. Seeing a rack of full body alien costumes, Zack forms a plan to stick around and get closer to Olivia. When he executes his plan, it ends up causing Olivia to slip during her take. She is furious when the Director want to keep it and move on to the next setup. Olivia mistakenly berates a different alien in full view of everyone, and Zack is witness to the toxic character Olivia has truly been this whole time .Zack finally finds the strength to approach Olivia head0on and denounces her behavior as the crew watches on. Zack leaves, when he's approached by Kate, who is revealed to be the alien that Olivia yelled at. Kate gives Zack her phone number on a crumbled napkin and Zack regains the hope in his eyes as he walks off into the night.
