Raise the ToyGantic
This Ken-Burns-meets-Waiting-For-Guffman-style comic mockumentary follows the history of the ToyGantic, an ominously named toy luxury ocean-liner built in 1962. When a present-day picnicker finds a shipwreck of a ToyGantic on the bottom of a Kansas lake, he launches a cross-country quest to find the quixotic toymaker who crafted the toy, the perverse company that released it, the kids who once owned it, and what has since become of the lives of everyone involved with the doomed toy. Weaving together fact and fiction, Raise the ToyGantic spans eighty years of memory, family, and the pursuit of the American dream.
