American Heritage - American Revolution I: The Cause of Liberty

During the American Revolution, young John Laurens is torn between loyalty to his native land, America, and his duty to the crown of England. His dilemma is made more difficult by the fact that he is living in England attending school, but more so by the fact that his father has been elected as the fifth president of the new Continental Congress -- which is determined to tear the American colonies free from English rule.
