An old man finds his neighbor Hlachova unconscious. Criminals immediately start an investigation, because it is clear that someone tried to murder her... And so we meet a pair of detectives, Captain Valenta and Lieutenant Novak. At first it is impossible to find a motive. Is this about inheritance? An aging widow is the owner of the villa. A personal vendetta? She hasn't exactly been kind to those closest to her either. Jealousy? She had a boyfriend who promised to divorce her. Hatred? She was bossy and mean.
