Welcome to Belle View
Holly's first day as Belle View's Admissions Coordinator is off to a rocky start , losing her wrap skirt to an elderly fashion designer being wheeled away on a gurney. She gets her skirt back on, waits for her new boss, and thinks back on her 6-month job search, her daughter skipping fashion college classes to bag groceries, and this miracle job offer from Gloria, the Belle View Executive Director. Day one finds her meeting the nursing staff, getting caught up in arguments between dementia patients, and watching an elderly lady attempt to pull the fire alarm. She finds herself about to be ill when she passes by her dead husband's old room. The day ends with meeting her Admissions Director, Carol, who proves to be vengeful and possibly crazy when she destroys the wall clock, takes all the office supplies and the chair from Holly's new office. Holly resolves to continue, but 2 weeks later makes the mistake of not shutting the door to the memory care unit completely and, with the floor nurse, must chase down 3 gentlemen who are attempting to get in the elevator. That evening, her daughter talks Holly into staying with it, no matter what, and when Holly returns to work, she is surprised to get Gloria's support. As she heads back to work, she meets the "skirt pulling" fashion designer again, and he promises to mentor Holly's daughter.
