In a world stripped bare, the silence screamed louder than any sound-a whisper from the void. Voices manipulates her cerebellum. The camera focuses on the serene yet faded decor of a small, sunlit kitchen. Everything looks clean and well-organized, but there's a slight sense of eeriness to the place, as if time has stood still. A woman in her early 30's, LUCY, stands by the counter, slicing an apple. Her hands are steady, but there's a distant look in her eyes. The soft tick sound that breaks the silence. Lucy pauses. Her gaze shifts to her face softening with a faint LUCY (to herself) John, you'll want tea breakfast, won't you? of a wall clock is the only the empty chair by the table, smile. for The camera lingers on the empty chair, silence ensues for couple of seconds, and clock continues ticking breaking the flow of silence and Lucy continues cutting the apple. Suddenly, a shadow flickers at the corner of her eye. She turns quickly, but no one is there. Her smile falters. LUCY (CONT'D) (confused) John? No response, there's silence. The clock now ticks louder. Lucy's breathing grows heavier as she struggles to remember. A faint VOICE, indistinct, echoes softly. Lucy freezes, her knife slipping from her hand and clattering on the counter. VOICE (V.O.) (whispering) Lucy... Lucy's eyes widen in fear. 2. INT. LUCY'S CABIN. LIVING ROOM. DAY Lucy enters the living room, her face pale and confused. The room is dimly lit, the curtains drawn. She looks around, searching for something or someone familiar. FADE IN: LUCY (panicking) John? Where are you? In a follow focus shot, camera follows her as she wanders through the room, touching the furniture, the walls, as if trying to ground herself. LUCY (CONT'D) (whispering) Why can't I remember? The same VOICE returns, this time slightly louder and more insistent. VOICE (V.O.) (whispering) Lucy, you mustn't forget... Lucy clutches her head, squeezing her eyes shut, in an E.C.U revealing the strain and confusion as she fights the growing sense of dread. LUCY (shouting) Stop! Please, stop! She collapses into an armchair, trembling. The CAMERA pulls back, showing the room slowly dimming further. The clock on the wall ticks ominously. Suddenly, everything snaps back to the beginning.
