Lasse Söderberg is an unusual artist; poet, translator and entertainer. Since 1987 he has been organizing the International Poetry Days in Malmö. Hundreds of the world's leading poets have come there to read their poems in bars and tea shops, factory premises and churches, on street corners and at nightly meetings at Gregers antiquarian bookshop. The Poetry General is a film about Lasse Söderberg and his friends, but also about life, death, love and poetry.
