A modern fairy-tale, 'On Becoming' is the story of Paul (Stuart Krimko) who seems stuck at the crossroads: what does he want from life? will he get a job? Will he stay the course and become an artist, a poet? Will he stay with his girlfriend? Or, take up with a new one? All of these questions become more pressing as his living situation becomes precarious as his presence becomes a flashpoint between his sister and her husband, at the same time he befriends a critic (Michael Silverblatt) who is profoundly dedicated to his art and full of deep romantic leanings, who pushes Paul towards his calling. With literary and artistic luminaries Sylvere Lotringer, Chris Kraus, and Hedi El Kholti.
