Shortly before the collapse of the USSR, Marina and Ivan Schastlivykh give birth to triplets and begin life in a separate - finally their own - apartment number 13. But the naive 1980s give way to the hungry 1990s, and the mood in the family can no longer be called rosy. Once the youngest and most promising candidate of sciences at Moscow State University, Ivan is forced to become a tutor and househusband while Marina earns money at the market. And then comes 2012 - the energy of a new time.
