Russell, a stressed-out college student, becomes increasingly frustrated with his unassuming, perfectly polite roommate, Bernard. As Bernard's calm, 'too normal' presence drives Russell to the brink, he concocts a series of increasingly outrageous schemes, from dirtying his room, trying to get him canceled, and more - all to force him out. But in the process, Russell discovers that pushing Bernard may just be pushing himself over the edge.
