Premiers résistants, seuls contre tous
In 1945, victory over Nazi Germany had scarcely been achieved, and history was already being rewritten. That of a France liberated by its people, resistant at heart, united against oppression. In our memories, we imprint the figure of the heroes: Gaullists and Communists. We forget the genesis of the struggle. That of the very first men and women, left-wing, right-wing, Communist, far-right, apolitical, who, individually and from June 17 1940, said "no". A visceral, spontaneous "no" in a France that said yes, by siding with Pétain. They started from nothing, had to invent everything, risked their lives and those of their loved ones.
