Universal Friendzone
An almost love story, between two worlds, in the same universe. Two stories, one shot in black and white, the other in color, are intertwined to convey a connected narrative dealing with hardship, heartbreak, spirituality and doubt in a single day. In one story (B&W) a young man and woman wage battle of the sexes in a small cafe. The other tale (Color) follows two philosophical hobos waxing poetic on the meaning of it all, fueled by alcohol and uncompromising optimism. The two pairs seem completely unrelated, until they reach a simultaneous moment of catharsis.
