Alexander Zelger had barely become chief of police in Bolzano when he found himself dealing with a serial killer. And the killer was always ahead of him, moving like a phantom. Zelger knew that the unknown man, whom everyone called "the Monster of Bolzano," wouldn't stop killing on his own. In 2017, the well-known Swedish journalist Kim Wall disappeared in Denmark. She had last been seen on a submarine as part of her work. There she was planning to conduct an interview with submarine designer Peter Madsen. Her disappearance led to the largest investigation in Danish criminal history.
