A woman is born of a drop of blood that falls to Earth from space. Every month she walks across the Earth as long strings of her blood return to the moon. As it becomes full, the woman tries to explain a lover what it feels like to be touched while on her menstrual cycle; how he mistakes the copper he tastes for machine, when really her body and blood are soft, tender folds he has yet to understand. Based on a spoken word poem, 'Red' is an exploration of body, blood, bravery, and love. It is a mythology about the origin of the moon that celebrates the beauty of every menstrual cycle.
