At first glance, Shouichi Shimanaga seems like an ordinary old man who was assigned to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Second Mobile Investigation Unit just before retirement, but in fact, he is a legend in spot-on investigations and can remember the faces of 800 people he has been assigned to. Takuya Takamaru, an ambitious and handsome member of the unit, teams up with Shouichi and dreams of being transferred to the First Investigative Division. And there is Akira Higuchi, a detective in the Violent Crimes Division, who has a high level of insight and is sometimes not afraid to go solo to pursue and uncover the truth behind cases. While the Mobile Unit solves difficult cases that occur every day in a thrilling way, throughout the season, the Mobile Unit buddies and the members of Akira's team will team up to take on the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's worst cold case.
