This film documents LGBTQ comic book fans, and through the interview process, explores the subjects' connection with their favorite superheroes. For this group of subjects, superheroes have provided assurances denied them by the heteronormative worldview. Fictional or not, the saving effects of superheroes is very real and demonstrates that being different is actually a power all it's own.
