The story of the life and work of Janusz Nasfeter (1920-1998), an outstanding Polish director - steadfast and defiant - who, for touching on difficult and uncomfortable topics in the times of the Polish People's Republic, paid a high price for it. After struggling with censorship, he withdrew from artistic life. The documentary features actors playing at Nasfeter's: Krystyna Lubienska, Filip Lobocinski, Henryk Golebiewski, Tadeusz Wisniewski and Andrzej Nasfeter. The film shows Janusz Nasfeter not only as an artist, but also as a human being - an original personality, a witness to the history of the twentieth century.
