An elderly couple William and Alice married over 50 years, never spending a day apart, lie in hospital beds side by side after a tragic car accident. Through their flashbacks we show happy times as well as conflicts they experienced together, never breaking their undying love for each other and holding true to their family values. After William succumbs to his injuries, his heart monitor still registers a heart beat. The heart beat of his beloved Alice beating through their hands clasped together. One heart continues to beat for the other in death not letting love go.
