Discovering Raku
Western Pennsylvania based fine artists Jim & Linda Winegar demonstrate the centuries old technique of working with clay pottery known as Raku. What was once a distinctly Japanese art process, has now developed into a modernized American version establishing it as its own distinct art form. Teachers engage the students to discover and participate in creating their own masterpieces in this hands-on educational documentary. Thanks to Greensburg Arts Center and its members for their participation. Funding provided by National Endowment of the Arts as part of their Arts Engagement in American Communities program.
