A grandmother tells her three grandchildren the legend of the children who set out in search of the lost treasure of the Church of São José da Boa Morte. They imagine themselves living the story: Pipa finds a treasure map and sets out in search of it with her friend Margareth, the Maga. At one point, Maga is bitten by a snake and becomes ill. Pipa gives up the treasure to help Maga. The grandmother finishes telling the story and at the end a secret is revealed regarding the whereabouts of the treasure.
