Tommaso, a 28-year-old boy, lives in an old country house isolated from the world, with Bianca the seamstress mother, now a widow for many years. Tommaso' aunt calls to announce her imminent visit. While Bianca goes out on errands, Tommaso takes the opportunity to give vent to his dream in an old fisherman's shack. His mother finds out and throws him out of the house. Tommaso finds himself desperate to wander aimlessly. The next day the aunt arrives and with Bianca they go to the old fisherman's shack in the hope of finding him. Upon entering, the two women are stunned. Aunt leaves not before having made to reflect the sister-in-law. After a mystical experience, the boy returns home. Mother and son reconcile. Tommaso is finally free.
