-"elles s'élèvent, ces forteresses éponges" is an experimental animated short film. The work deals with my own reconnection with the sensory memory of my adolescence, which I had partially lost. This rediscovery is illustrated through the materiality of 35mm film, using painting and engraving on the film emulsion. Experimental filmmaker and video artist Guillaume Vallée graduated from Concordia University with a degree in animation and holds an MFA in Studio Arts - Film Production. He works primarily in Super8, 16mm, VHS, and stereoscopic video.
