A short silent film inspired by the Strauss opera Die Frau Ohne Schatten, which chronicles an asylum patient's escape, temptations and struggle with insanity and duality of consciousness. The entire project was filmed in three days on a budget of 100 pounds, solely utilising silent era techniques with the tools and equipment available to us. It is, at its very core, an homage to German expressionism.
