Barren is a psychological thriller about foetal abduction. When Emily, a heavily pregnant lawyer, crashes her car outside the mill on the same day that security guard Julia discovers her IVF has again failed, a switch flicks in Julia. She persuades herself that this baby has been sent to her as a gift from God and that it is her destiny to become the baby's mother by any means available. She finds that she is capable of far more than she ever deemed possible to get the baby she has so long yearned for and will let nothing, including her husband Ian, stand in her way.
