Nyuol Tong is a South Sudanese-born student at Duke University, and founder of SELFSudan, an American based non-profit dedicated to bringing education to South Sudan. Inspired by his own educational experience, he traveled to South Sudan during the summer of 2011 to begin the construction of SELFSudan's first school in his home village of Ayeit. LaauNhom: Freedom of the Mind, is the story Nyuol's journey, and a village and people making their way in the world's newest country.
