The discovery of an extra terrestrial signal starts a whirlwind of events. As word of the discovery works its way through a group of roommates, to an unstable news anchor, onto a graduate student who is falsely credited with the discovery, and to an enigmatic young man who is stricken with paranoia upon hearing the news. Terrestrial Soup satirically weaves these stories together to create a comedic and bizarre portrait of the way people communicate in the modern age, and how important news and events can be trivialized, twisted, and buried under the actions of everyday life.
