Pullmann is a tax auditor entangled in a thousand petty deals and schemes. This is all known to Mayor Karsten Laimer, who has even more skeletons in his closet. Pullmann's wife, Jenny, is involved in a citizens' initiative against corruption and, of course, mustn't know anything about her husband's shady dealings. Then Pullmann gets a new superior who keeps a close eye on him. Now things are getting tight for Pullmann. And to avoid jeopardizing his reputation, he decides to go straight. The only question is whether he'll succeed.
