DocumentaryShortBiography

Akio Kon left his home in northern Japan at the age of fifteen to work on a whale hunting ship. His travels eventually led him to Peru, where he lived for eleven years, then on to Miami and finally New York City, where he's lived for the past twenty years. He works as a sushi chef, and on his days off, he always goes fishing, anywhere he can. That's all he talks about, that's all he does. He just loves fish. I followed him on his day off.
