Hip Hop Maestro is a documentary film about linebacker sized musician, Geoff "Double G" Gallegos or "GG" and his seventy-piece symphonic hip hop orchestra known as daKAH. Told in first person narration, Double G chronicles his amazing journey as a young composer whose epic vision of blending hip hop, jazz and funk in an orchestral setting despite great odds and no money. Three movements demonstrate how this unlikely maestro's unique leadership, single-minded determination and luck propels daKAH from the underground Los Angeles nightclub scene to the well-loved Downtown LA concert series, Grand Performances, and on to the prestigious stage at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
