Katie Carmen dreams of being a country singer. When she takes the first step, she is interrupted by her brother. About to give up, she meets a punk alternative guitarist and a music teacher. Together, they follow her brother and her dreams. On the road trip, there and back again, they encounter the defeats and triumphs of pursuing your dreams. In the end, Katie overcomes her fears and doubts with the help of her friends. She beats her brother in a battle of the bands style contest after he tries to interrupt her again.
