The Case of Magnolia Dew
This is an adaptation of Poe's, The Cask of Amontillado. The injured party, the Montressor character, is now an archeology professor, who we first meet in his later years, discussing life and events with a college peer, one who also knew the notoriously haughty, Fortunato, known as Lucky in this story. A groundbreaking and the discovery of human remains, prompts a soul-bearing revelation of the fateful night decades earlier. We follow along as Lucky is lured by the promise of a fabled antebellum whiskey, Magnolia Dew, to a terrifying fate.
