Sarah
Although he knows nothing about farming, artist Karel Hansen buys the recently-widowed Sarah's property. Later, she discovers that Karel murdered his wife and has been on the run for the past five years. Nevertheless, Sarah remains on the farm and, to put an end to the locals' gossiping, she marries Karel. Shortly afterwards, a policeman comes to question Karel, with tragic consequences.
