11 1/2 MINUTES" documents the summer of four young adults as they tour the country with the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps. This documentary gives a rare glimpse into the world of one of the most extreme youth activities in America today: Drum & Bugle Corps. Why do thousands of kids give up their summers to do drum corps? There are many reasons: a chance to see the country by bus, a chance to entertain thousands of fans, a chance to win the world championship title and most importantly, a chance to perform an 11 1/2 MINUTE show! Filmmakers Rob Sheiffele and John Christensen followed the Blue Devils on their 2001, 2002 and 2003 tours capturing the challenges and courage it takes to perform in this extraordinary activity. The DVD is 54 minutes with bonus footage that includes select performance highlights from the 2001, 2002 and 2003 season and rare behind the scenes rehearsal & tour footage.
