Modern Worship

20113m
ShortComedy

All the world has become a Photo-Op. With almost everyone, it seems, now carrying a camera of some sort or another - a point 'n' shoot, a telephone or an SLR - all experience is now filtered through viewfinders or LCD screens. Modern Worship looks at this phenomenon at St. Peter's Basilica, in Rome - once a shrine for Catholicism, and now, it seems, a shrine for the new cult of Mega-Pixel. While the visitors and tourists furiously capture their endless photographs of Michelangelo's Pi eta and the Basilica's famous dome, our choir chants the 'Photographer's Creed' to make an ironic and amusing comment on photography, travel - and worship.
